Born and raised in northern New Jersey, April has spent her life as a self-starter entrepreneur focusing on the needs of others. After college, she founded a human resources recruitment firm where she excelled by placing clients in positions that were perfect for their unique backgrounds, needs, and potential. It was in this professional setting that April learned she not only thrived on the challenge of being an entrepreneur but that she had innate emotional intelligence that helped her succeed in human resources and what would be ahead of her.
After having three daughters with her beloved husband, Danny, April devoted her time, energy and love to raising their children as a stay-at-home mom. In this season, she was drawn to volunteering and leading organizations that foster young women empowerment and development such as Girl Scouts, Girls’ Club, Teen Girls’ Group, The Beauty Project, etc. During this part of her life, April’s world was turned upside down when she had a life-changing moment with the Lord and became a born-again Christian. |
April then went on to live out her God-instilled purpose. She founded Her Life Speaks, a ministry for teen girls and women to gather in community and to discover the power of their stories through God’s love. This has fulfilled her tremendously, as mentorship has always been close to her heart and April genuinely enjoys pouring into younger women. In this context, she is able to tap into her inherent skills, and spiritual gifts, to build up the Her Life Speaks community on the premise of women helping women.
Looking back, April can clearly see how God used her entrepreneurial spirit and faith to inspire and empower the next generation of women to live their best lives with intentionality and purpose. She is now leveraging these experiences for life coaching, a place where she can influence women and provide mentoring in a dedicated way.
